Ok ok, so maybe last Friday wasn’t all that ‘dark’, but it was obscenely early for us student folks who had only just discovered that there was infact another 6 o’clock in the day!
Paul’s class of budding online journalists gathered in the basement of the ‘Coffee Lounge’, Brum to await the arrival of all means of journalistic ‘genious’. Soon the café was a-buzzing with people, and more coffee than at a mother’s meeting!
Spot a few ‘familiar faces’? i’m sure my inbox is full of a variety of threats and bribes from adulterous husbands…”no he wasn’t at work doing overtime … he was at the ‘Birmingham Social Media Café’!…oh the shame!”
A rather ‘pricey’ M&M hot choc later and i was ready to ‘mingle’ (as rather scarily put to us by a rep from Birmingham City Council!)
Via the helpful ‘nudge’ from Birmingham Recycled Editor Nat, i joined a small group that went around and introduced ourselves to various members of the ever-growing-coffee-drinking crowd.
